While homeless due to lack of social housing in 2016. I made patches for what was to become a Story Telling Coat about Disability Oppression. I read research by Strathclyde Centre for Disabiity Research and Glasgow Media Unit, University of Glasgow on how the broad sheet newspapers had changed their ways of reporting about disabled people, with a high percentage rise in blaming and defamatory descriptions. This negative spin so incensed me that I made the Story Telling Coat which described positive aspects of disabled peoples characters on the outside of the coat, and named and shamed T
the Conservative cabinet and 320 MPs who voted for a £30 austerity benefit cut in 2016.
